Assignment 1: Oral presentation. Students must select a lobe to investigate for their assignment. Students should research an experiment conducted or a case study (not mentioned in this curriculum resource, i.e Phineas Gage) that investigates one of the lobes. Students should create a powerpoint that describes the background of the experiment, aims, hypothesis, the methods (participants and procedure), the results and the implications of the experiment.
ASSESSMENT TASK 2.
Assignment 2: Creation This builds upon assignment one. For this assignment, students will be instructed to work in groups of three or four. They must select a lobe for this assignment and design an experiment that measures the function of it, Students should provide theoretical background, their aims, hypothesis and methods (participant and procedure). They will be asked to conduct the experiment in their own time to their family members or their peers so the results and implications of the experiment can be written down as well.
